L’Ucraina Artistica Celebra i 20 anni di indipendenza dell’Ucraina e i 150 anni dell’Unità d’Italia
An exhibition dedicated to Ukraine, on the twentieth anniversary of its independence, presenting the works of three artists: Olilga Milentiy, Nadiya Stoyko and Galyna Chukal, who wish to express the spirit of their culture through a journey that conveys emotions, feelings and impressions of the characteristics of their country of origin.
A symbolic vision of a vital and critical journey projected into the future.

There are about 10000 Ukrainian living in the city of Rome, whereas a more accurate estimate would be higher.
On the occasion of the XX anniversary of Independence of Ukraine and in conjunction with the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, the representatives of this community have the opportunity to celebrate their cultural heritage and their status as migrants, in an authentic, direct, immediate and engaging way, creating and suggesting a possible synthesis and contamination between their culture and ours, in a straightforward and innovative way.
The event, which is part of the exhibition “Art and culture of Eastern Europe in Rome," presents paintings, installations, conferences, debates, films and documentaries.
